That being said, trends influence everything from fashion, to the color of cars, to interior design - and trends can provide ideas and inspiration of what's current, or on the horizon if you're looking at ways to enhance your living environment.

As we move into 2026, interior design continues to evolve toward spaces that feel intentional, sustainable, and deeply personal. This year’s trends balance modern innovation with the comfort and warmth people crave at home. Here are five interior design trends defining 2026.
